Currently the price indications are in the region of $400…rather high when you consider some of the alternatives. Nevertheless the specification is worth a try.

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes in a variety of colors including magenta, yellow, black, green and white. Over the coming weeks this smartphone will inevitably spread to other parts of the world, specifically in Asia and Western Europe. North America will have to wait for a bit longer. If you felt that the Nokia Lumia 920 was too expensive; then the 620 provides an affordable option. In fact the brand believes that they are onto a ratings winner.

It is a fairly portable device measuring 115.4mm by 61.1mm by 11mm and weighing 127g. The 3.8-inch display is capable of 480 by 800 pixels resolutions. You get 512MB worth of RAM and 14 hours of talk time. The dual core 1 GHz Krait Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor can pretty much do everything that you throw at it. Inevitably the Windows Phone 8 operating system is one of the highlights in the specification.

The Nokia Lumia 620 comes with a 5 MP Autofocus camera, a feature that is becoming a traditional companion to every smartphone. The manufacturers have added the Cinemapraph feature to the camera which allows you to incorporate motion when dealing with still pictures. The animation feature will be very useful for those people who are frequent to the social networks including Twitter and Facebook. The 3.8” display size is complemented by ClearBlack and LCD technology.

The power management on the Nokia Lumia 620 is one of its merits. It can last for 14.6 hours on 2G, 9.9 hours on 3G and the maximum 3G standby time is an amazing 330 hours. Its music playback time is 61 hours. In terms of practicality, they have added the Nokia Universal Portable USB charger. It is a DC-16 device and can snugly fit into a side pocket. Moreover it is capable of giving you a full charge when you need it.

There is no doubt that the brand is struggling and the presentation of the Nokia Lumia 620 is an attempt to get the sales going. In this endeavor, they have created a smartphone that is quite practical even though it does not have the dazzling features that we have come to expect from the industry leaders. Nevertheless this is a cheaper version of the Nokia Lumia 920. Therefore it is an attempt to appeal to the vast majority of consumers. The Nokia Lumia 620 will never be the Queen of the Ball but it certainly has earned the right to be invited to the high table.
