The Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR is a 16MP digital camera with a 3” LCD screen. It comes in black and has all the mod-cons that one would expect in a modern camera. The 1/2″ 16MP BSI-CMOS Sensor specification delivers power and precision with consummate ease. It has the manual zoom complemented by a 42x optical zoom lens. That works out at between 24-1000mm. Crisp images are delivered via a 3.0″ 920K-dot Vari-angle LCD as well as a 920K-dot EVF screen. In any case the camera is capable of producing full HD movies at 1080p or 60fps. Another advantage associated with this product is the fact that it enables continuous shooting at 11fps. That means that you get Full Resolution regardless of the project you are working on.

Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR Specifications

This is a lightweight camera measuring 6.9” by 6.7” by 5.2” and weighing just 2.3lbs. By using aspherical lenses, the Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR is able to deliver bright aperture with a rating of f/2.5 up to f/5.6. The image stabilization on this product is within the upper echelons of the class. The Super Macro mode is ideal for close-ups and there have been reports of excellent images up to 1cm from the object. By adding a manual barrel zoom, the makers of Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR have ensured that this camera gives the user intuitive control. The 84x Intelligent Digital Zoom is a testament to these perks. An Fn function button is all you need in order to control the magnification powers of this product. It is equivalent to 2000mm worth of focal length.

We absolutely love the EXR sensor which reduces noise particularly if you are working in flat areas. Moreover this facility enhances the contrast around the image edges. Effectively you are getting a sharp image while enhancing the natural aspects of photography. These merits hold true en when you are working with the super-telephoto magnification configuration. By using the EXR AUTO model you can create professional shots without struggling with the technical details of photography. Apart from being user-friendly, this is a very responsive camera which continuously offers you opportunities to improve the images that you are processing.

Special note has to be made of the Intelligent Hybrid AF. It is indeed the fastest in the world at 0.05sec. This intriguing facility allows you to choose between the Phase Detection AF and the Contrast AFT, a useful feature when working in low light. Effectively you enjoy optimal focus regardless of the prevalent shooting conditions. The optical image stabilization has been enhanced with power and efficiency. Thus it is possible to create hand-held shots without suffering the indignities of the telltale blur. The configuration of this camera is quite sophisticated with up to 12 groups and 17 elements. However you need not feel as if you are being overwhelmed because everything is quite amenable to the novice.

Unless you are a consummate professional, it is unlikely that you will use the full spectrum of capabilities that have been put on the Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR but what fun to learn.
