You can travel the continent with ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ video game. This is the latest installation of the online-role-playing games. ZeniMax Online Studios is a formidable developer and the results of their work are evident in this series. Players are given the option of traveling in the Tamriel Continent. This is about one thousand years prior to the events of ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’. Another interesting titbit of information is the fact that the game will be released for both PC and Mac so nobody is going to be left out of the fun.

The Elder Scrolls Online Overview

It is clear that the makers of ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ were more concerned about the color vibrancy of the video game as opposed to the details in the appearance. Perhaps this is a necessary compromise given the amount of action that they have in mind. At the same time it could be a deliberate strategy in order to set the scene for the ancient continent where the game is going to be played from. In any case the design does not detract from the obvious quality of the game. The nearest example we can think of is ‘World of Warcraft’. This is a game that could give ‘Everquest’ a run for its money and that is a testament to the capabilities of its production team.

The marketers have not yet released the full storyline surrounding ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ but judging from the hype and the comments from those intimately associated with the project, this is going to be an interesting yarn. However we also know that there is bound to be a battle for control over the Emperor’s throne in Cyrodiil. The people of Tamriel are restless because of the power vacuum. Some races have decided to form alliances for the express purpose of defending their territory. Therefore there is a distinct possibility that the provinces are going to be Balkanized if a ruler is not found quickly enough. The ‘Tharn Family’ create an alliance with ‘The Imperials’. Meanwhile Mannimarco undertakes a secret mission that is meant to open up the possibility of an alliance with Molag Bal, the Daedric Prince. Ultimately that ambitious prince wants to rule the entirety of Tamriel.

The players take on the role of an adventurer. Apparently his soul was captured by Molag Bal and that gives him an extra incentive. Your mission is to fight for your soul and then bring order to the people. Having established a powerful faction, it is even possible to take the Imperial city and the office of the Emperor. The player who has played the biggest part in overcoming the obstacles described above will be crowned Emperor.

Apart from a few hazy lines, ‘The Elder Scrolls Online’ promises to be an excellent video game. It has one of the best stories that have been released this year. Moreover a strong creative team means that it is not likely that there will be anything wrong with the final product.
