Description:
The Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A is a 65” television capable of 4k resolutions and UHD production. It is the next step up in flat screen television technology. Apparently the product was conceived as a means of breaking the 4K TV experience to ordinary users who no longer have to go to a premium theater in order to get the experience. Sony is delivering technical competency in smaller sizes but this is an attempt at bringing a new dimension to such production. Of course this television is not going to be for everybody but the concept is going to be an important addition to the saturated LCD TV market. We welcome such developments regardless of the brand involved.

Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A Product Features

You cannot describe the Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A as being a small television. That would be a blatant misrepresentation of what the brand is attempting to do. However they have still managed to keep the price low especially when compared with the 84” piece which opened up the line. This model is meant to be for the ordinary customer who is impressed by the introductory offer but cannot afford that kind of investment at the time. Of course there is a possibility that the technology will become so widespread that the price drops significantly. Some of us remember those days when a very basic mobile cost a fortune in the 1980s. Now you cannot kick them out of bed for a price.

The brand that has produced the Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A has some advantages over the people that are trying to get a look in on the market. First of they were the first group to deliver a 4K projector successfully. At the time their work was limited to movie theaters but now they are opening it up to the rest of the public. Likewise the brand was responsible for producing the first professional 4K camera with a screen size that is considerably smaller than that of the Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A. Therefore this brand has significant experience in the creation and delivery of 4K content. All those capabilities are brought to bear when creating this unique television. It will be very hard for the other brands to catch up but at some point they will.

The picture quality of the Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A output has to be one of the top wonders of the genre. You sumptuous production if the prototype is anything to go by. In any case the show content was created specifically for the 4K camera. This means that there is no need for up-conversion. The Triluminous Display technology that has been developed by Sony is at the heart of this piece of kit. Incidentally that technology is responsible for presenting truer colors such as green, red and blue tones. All the other things like wireless connections and the content access point are of secondary importance to the picture quality.

Verdict:
If you think you have a magnificent television in your home then you can think again. The Sony BRAVIA XBR-65X900A is breaking the frontiers in terms of technology development.
